Junior Elite Dance Auditions (Under 18's)

YBR Dance Newtown is now proudly... the only dance studio next to Sass Dance & Entertainment agency, to train and select Junior Elites, to perform at selected Bulldogs games through out 2020.

What is a Junior Elite?

The best of the best Elite Dancers. The newest under 18 years old dance squad to join the NRL Bulldogs performance family! This team is for serious dancers (girls and boys), who are trained in a range of styles from hip hop, jazz and acrobatics. A Junior Elite fall in a different category to Junior Sapphires & Junior Boys Dance Crew. 

Only YBR Dance Newtown Dancers, and Sass Dance & Entertainment Agency Dancers (the mothership of Bulldogs performers) can be selected and trained as Junior Elites.

All of YBR Dance Newtown Elites and Sass Elites, are expected to be the “best of the best” young performers at selected Bulldogs games.  To be considered as an Elite, we will require outstanding talent, technique, intense training, commitment and incredible attendance from our potentials. 

1st instalment of Girls Auditions will take place on the 20th February @ 6pm. If our dancers are not 100% ready, we will not attempt to select an Elite until the next Audition approximately 1 month later. At this stage, the Elite boys have been selected and we have offered this role to YBR Dance Newtown's very own OJ & Riley.

You will be notified by Saturday the 22nd if you have made it to the second audition/rehearsal at Belmore on the 23rd February at Sass Dance & Entertainment Agency from 9.30-11:30am. 

If you pass the Audition and are selected – Elites are expected to participate in 5 x classes per week until the end of Term 4 of 2020. You will need to enrol in all the Girls Performance Crew classes which are as follows: JFH, Acro, Crew Training & an Elite Dance Training Class. Inclusively you will also need to attend 1 x class per week @ Belmore Tuesday 6.30-7.15pm at a rate of $16 per class. You will need to purchase a Bulldogs uniform & there may be a couple of extra rehearsal dates over the weekend at Belmore with Miss Ashleigh which may also require a small fee. 

The Elite Dance Class is not on the YBR Dance schedule yet, however I expect it will take place before or after Girls Crew Training on Thursday night or possibly on a Saturday.

To be considered an Elite, it is recommended you please enrol in all 4 x girls crew training classes as early as possible. You can wait to see if your child gets through before enrolling, however early enrolment will ensure we can deliver your child the best training and tools for a better chance of passing the Audition. Miss Ashleigh will be calling in on a few Thursday evenings to spot check the potentials in training and deliver tips to help get them across the line in the Auditions.

If your child does not make it through this year, the training they receive this year in "Performance Crew Training" will give your child the best shot in the future, & they will still get a better chance of other performance opportunities at YBR Dance. Such as dancing the front line at our Dance Specs and Festivals if their dancing is 100% up to standard.
